Captain J.J. Botelho
Captain J.J. Botelho is a Fort Walton Beach Native born and raised right here on the beautiful Emerald Coast. He grew up here fishing as often as possible (although his teachers would of preferred him to be in class!) His favorite memories Fishing as a child were getting into some big schools of fish while on the boat with his Mom, and Dad.”Nothing beats doing what you love with who you love!”
He knows how to make your fishing experiences with the ones you love equally as memorable as the ones he had growing up. As a teenager he spent most of his days/nights fishing on the Okaloosa Island Pier, and will forever be grateful for the knowledge, and experience the pier, as well as the people on the pier have shared with him. It’s not uncommon to see him still out there to this day even after running two 5 hour trips in a day!
“It’s important to me to remember exactly where I came from, and to never forget those who’ve made me the angler/person that I am today. My biggest satisfaction from fishing these days is teaching kids how to fish, and watching them catch some of the biggest fish they’ve ever laid their eyes on. It’s the reason I do what I do, as well as a constant reminder why I started fishing in the first place!”
